Appearance

Open Settings -> Appearance to preview and change the deployed widget.

Branding and colour

• Avatar colour sets the fallback avatar background. If setup found a website favicon, the widget uses that image instead.
• Primary colour controls the header and key interactive elements.
• Remove 'Powered by Engine 64' footer hides the product credit when the workspace is eligible to do so.

The agent name and welcome message live under Settings -> General.

Lead capture

Choose one mode:

• Off never asks for contact details.
• Require before chat asks for a name and email before the first message.
• Smart capture lets the conversation begin and shows the form later when the widget decides it is useful.

Lead capture and human handoff are separate. A captured lead is linked to the conversation; it becomes an escalated conversation only when When a visitor shares their contact details is enabled under Settings -> Security.

Check the preview

The page includes a live preview. Check:

• text contrast against the primary colour;
• the avatar or favicon at a small size;
• long welcome messages; and
• the lead form in the selected capture mode.

Save each section after changing it. Reset to default resets that section’s editable value; it does not delete the agent or its content.
